01. Will you travel to my location?
Yes, we travel anywhere within 25 miles of West Des Moines and that is included in our package price.
02. Do you serve gluten free or vegan waffles?
At this time we do not. Based on the waffles being dough and specific cooking instructions, it is hard to make them as tasty since they need lots of ingredients to be the best.
03. Do you do any charity events?
We will consider charity events in and around Des Moines. We do ask that those requests are sent at least 9 months prior to the event date.
04. Do you accept tips?
Gratuity is included in your package. We don’t want you to have to worry about anything else. When we are paid in full, that’s it!
05. Do you provide anything besides waffles?
At this time we just offer waffles!
06. Can we decorate the trailer for my event?
Yes, we will work with you on decorations and have several companies we collaborate with to make this possible! This is an additional cost but definitely doable! We do also decorate the trailer with our own personal touch!
07. Is there a down payment required?
Yes, we require 50% down and a signed contract to secure your date. The remaining 50% will be due 2 weeks prior to the event.
08. How long will you serve waffles at my event?
We arrive 1 hour prior to serving and will serve for 2-3 hours.
09. How large of an event can you accommodate?
At this time we are operating on a smaller scale, as our trailer isn’t equipped to do large events. We are providing waffles for events of 150-200 guests or less.
10. Are you permitted to serve at my venue?
Most venues allow businesses like ours. We do ask you check with your venue prior to securing your date that there are no issues with Waffles & Whip being there!
11. What are ingredients in your waffles?
Our waffles have dairy, egg, and yeast in them.
12. Do I have to get any permits?
No, we have all permits/certifications needed!
13. What if it rains?
We will come rain or shine! Our trailer generally operates during late April to late October/early November. Our trailer is small enough it can fit inside most spaces if thats an option but we do offer a small canopy as well!
14. Will food trailer need electricity?
We do have a 5500w generator that comes with the trailer when rented. It is a typical generator and is a little louder. We also have the capability to plug into a building's electricity (220V).
